Meghalaya with Kaziranga Backpacking Trip

• The group will assemble at the pick-up point in Guwahati where a brief introduction by the trip captain will be provided.
• Afterwards, we’ll head to Shillong which is a dreamy hill station nestled in the heart of Meghalaya. It is popularly known as the “Scotland of the East” for its unmatched beauty.
• Upon reaching Shillong, we’ll check into our hotels and spend some leisure time amidst nature. We will head to the main market in Shillong in the evening, exploring its lively cafes and sightseeing spots.

The riders will be allotted their respective bikes in Guwahati (Khanapara).

Highlight of the Day: Cafe hopping and market exploration in Shillong 

• After early morning breakfast, we’ll head towards Dawki also known Umngot which is famous for the fascinating turquoise Dawki river that resembles a glass surface.
• En route, we’d visit the Krang Suri Falls, where you can immerse yourself in its stunning turquoise waters and enjoy the breathtaking natural scenery.
• Upon arrival in Dawki, we’ll check into our riverside camps in Shnongpdeng which is a small village tucked peacefully within the borders of the town. In the evening, we’ll host a bonfire.
• Dinner followed by an overnight stay in camps in Shnongpdeng.

Highlight of the Day: Dawki, Phe Phe waterfalls, camping in Shnongpdeng. 

• Post breakfast, we’ll indulge in thrilling adventure activities like Cliff Jumping, Boating, and Snorkeling in the sparkling river.
• Afterward, we’ll head towards Cherrapunji which is popular for its living root bridges and for the abundance of rainfall that drapes the town in lush greenery.
• En route, we’ll be traversing the Indo-Bangla Border as we visit Mawlynnong which holds the title of Asia’s cleanest village and seems like a vast orchard of green canopies spreading across. The village also offers breathtaking views of the neighboring Bangladesh plains.
• Upon our arrival in Cherrapunji, we’ll check into our hotels and spend the night soaking in bliss.

Highlight of the Day: Adventure activities, Scenic drive to Cherrapunji, Mawlynnong 

• Waking up all refreshed we will head to the magnificent Seven Sisters Falls which is a wonderful seven-segmented waterfall stretching along a rocky cliff and is definitely a sight to behold.
• Afterward, we’ll be visiting one of the most notable landmarks in Cherrapunji which is the Mawsmai Caves. The caves are made of limestone with stunning stalactites adorning the roofs giving them a mystical charm.
• For some fun and adventure, we will head to Nongriat village and start our trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge which is truly a nature’s marvel! The trail takes you through numerous streams and the sound of river flowing in the background, with sights of colorful butterflies and birds making this forest walk extremely fulfilling.
• Afterward, we’ll head back to our hotel in Cherrapunji where we will spend the night.

Highlight of the Day: Seven Sister falls, Mawsmai Caves, Double Decker Living Root Bridge

• After a delectable breakfast with a view, we’ll check out of our hotel and head towards Shillong.
• En route, We will visit the Nohkalikai waterfall which is the tallest plunge waterfall in Meghalaya with a staggering height of 1,115 ft. We’ll also visit Garden of Caves, near Cherrapunji, which is a naturally decorated wonderland with caves, rocky hills, waterfalls, streams, and lush greenery.
• Afterwards, we’ll also be visiting Laitlum Canyons which is a vantage point from where you get to see a panoramic view of the valleys of Meghalaya.
• Upon arrival in Shillong, we will spend some leisure time wandering in the vibrant town followed by a cozy night at the hotel.

Highlight of the Day: Nohkalikai waterfall, Garden of Caves, Laitlum Canyons

• On this day, we will embark on a scenic drive from Shillong to Kaziranga National Park traversing across picturesque views of the Valley and the deep jungles beckoning you closer.
• En-route we will also visit the beautiful Umiam Lake which is a vast reservoir surrounded by Sylvan hills en route.
• Upon arrival, we will check in to our resorts set amidst a backdrop of lush flora and fauna that allows you to witness the marvels of nature up close.
• The rest of the day will be spent rejuvenating and indulging in recreational activities within the property premises.

Highlight of the Day: Umiam Lake, Kaziranga National Park 

• The Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is fabled for being home to the rare One Horned Rhino and many other species of animals and birds like elephants, deer, etc.
• We will be embarking on an enthralling early morning Jeep Safari that allows one to witness wildlife in its truest most raw form and is an experience of a lifetime.
• After the Safari, we will head back to Guwahati. Upon reaching, we head to the Airport and fly back home with tons of memories and photographs to cherish for a lifetime.
